Sprinkler Extinguishes Lake Zurich Restaurant Fire
A small fire broke out at Kobe restaurant on Jan. 14.
A fire at Kobe East restaurant in Lake Zurich was quickly extinguished by a single sprinkler head, according to a news release from Lake Zurich Fire/Rescue. Lake Zurich Fire Rescue was dispatched to an automatic alarm fire activation at Kobe Japanese Restaurant, 769 W. Hwy 22, Lake Zurich, at 11:04 p.m., Jan. 14, according to Deputy Chief Don Golubski. When Lake Zurich Fire/Rescue arrived, they found light smoke in the building and the sound of water running. Upon investigation, a burnt/melted electrical strip was found with signs of heat extension up the wall.
