Lake Zurich Man Arrested for Predatory Sexual Assault

A former Lake Zurich man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a six-year-old child in 2004, according to McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren. Louis P. Hoerauf, 34, of 23513 Field Rd. in Lake Zurich, was arrested and charged on Wednesday with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X Felony, Nygren stated in a press release. The sheriff's office recently was notified that the victim, now 14 years old, came forward with information about Hoerauf. The victim claims to have been sexually assaulted by Hoerauf in Wonder Lake in 2004, Nygren stated in the release.
