43-Year-Old Island Lake Man Arrested for Intimidating Juvenile Via Internet
Police say man sent explicit photographs to juvenile,
McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren announced, today, the culmination of a three-month long investigation resulting in the arrest of Douglas J. Carlson, 43, 4413 Beech St. Apt. #108, Island Lake, on felony counts for harmful material and intimidation, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. In August of 2012, Detectives from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office began investigating an incident where a juvenile had been contacted by an unknown individual via a social networking site. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Douglas had contacted the juvenile numerous times and sent explicit photographs to the juvenile via the internet, according to the release.
