Bishop George Rassas will speak on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m., at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich. Bishop George Rassas will provide information on the current debate on religious freedom between the Catholic Church and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Time will include Q & A. All are invited to attend. The controversial HHS mandate was issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Affordable Care Act and requires all employer health plans to provide coverage for contraceptives, sterilizations and abortion-inducing drugs, regardless of any moral or religious objections.
