'The Nutcracker' Comes to CLC this Weekend
For the fifth year, the Ruth Page Civic Ballet of Chicago brings its holiday performance of 'The Nutcracker' to Grayslake's College of Lake County Saturday and Sunday.
Local productions of “The Nutcracker” are being performed throughout Lake County in December, but for the fifth year in a row, the Ruth Page Civic Ballet of Chicago will bring its one-of-a-kind production to the College of Lake County’s James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts in Grayslake. Three shows will be presented: Saturday, Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. The Civic Ballet has re-created Ruth Page’s beloved original full-length staging of “The Nutcracker” featuring choreography inspired by the experience of Dolores Lipinski and the late Larry Long.
