Congressman Peter Roskam, (R-6th District) is opening a satellite office at Barrington’s Village Hall. Roskam will hold a meet-and-greet for constituents at the new office from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27. Roskam’s office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays with by-appointment hours Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Roskam’s main office is in West Chicago.

Illinois House Rep. Peter Roskam will open a satellite office inside Barrington Villlage Hall.
The Barrington Village Board approved a lease agreement with U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam for office space in village hall, at the Feb. 11 meeting. Roskam’s district is spread out and ranges from south of Wheaton to Crystal Lake. Barrington Village President Karen Darch said Roskam was looking to locate a satellite office in the northern part of his district. His other area office is in West Chicago. “This is good news for us,” Darch said. “This is nice for us to have first hand contact with federal officials here.”

Peter Roskam wins the 2012 General Election in Illinois' 6th Congressional District.
U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) won re-election in Illinois' 6th Congressional District Tuesday over Leslie Coolidge after getting 30,864 more votes than the his challenger, with all precincts reporting. Roskam said he plans to be a part of turning the economy around, and his work on the House Ways and Means Committee will be a platform to do so. "Our tax code is a disaster, and most Americans recognize that it’s a disaster," he said Tuesday at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton. "And most Americans are very open to trying to reform the code." Incumbent Republican Peter Roskam appears to have won the race for the 6th Congressional District, defeating challenger Leslie Coolidge. This is according to unofficial results.
Update 10:21 p.m. Incumbent Republican Peter Roskam ran against Democrat Leslie Coolidge for the 6th Congressional District seat. Unofficial results show that Roskam received 185,093, to Coolidge's 125,961. This is with 98% of precincts reporting. The 6th Congressional District crosses five counties. Coolidge watched the results come in at Emmetts in Palatine. Results information from Chicagotribune.com. Rep. Peter Roskam is unable to attend Patch, League of Women Voters candidate forum due to a prior commitment.
Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Wheaton) on Friday notified the League of Women Voters (LWV) of the Palatine Area he will not be able to attend an Oct. 11 candidate forum in Palatine because of a previous commitment. Last month, Patch partnered with the LWV to invite candidates in the Illinois 6th Congressional District race to a candidate forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at Palatine Village Hall. The invitation was the group's second attempt to host such a debate, after Rep. Roskam was unable to attend the Oct. 4 event. The residents’ of the 6th Congressional District have been represented for several decades by two of the greatest Congressmen in my lifetime: Henry Hyde and now Peter Roskam. Both have been men of integrity and fiscal responsibility. I have appreciated how these men have served their country and constituents well. Unfortunately, I no longer reside in the 6th District. However, I will continue to encourage everyone to vote for Peter. Peter takes time to listen to the people he represents and has a genuine desire to be their spokesman in Congress.
