Louis P. Hoerauf, 34, was arrested and charged with sexual assault against two children in Wonder Lake.
A former Lake Zurich man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a six-year-old child in 2004, according to McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren. Louis P. Hoerauf, 34, of 23513 Field Rd. in Lake Zurich, was arrested and charged on Wednesday with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X Felony, Nygren stated in a press release. The sheriff's office recently was notified that the victim, now 14 years old, came forward with information about Hoerauf. The victim claims to have been sexually assaulted by Hoerauf in Wonder Lake in 2004, Nygren stated in the release. Woodstock Man Charged In Deadly Street Race McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Woodstock man in connection with a fatal traffic crash that killed two 16-year-old boys on July 1. Dan L. Huber is charged with failure to report a traffic crash, a Class 1 felony and aggravated street racing, a Class 4 felony, according to a sheriff’s department release. His bond was set at $100,000. A man who disappeared from the Chicago area more than 32 years ago and was living in Las Vegas has pleaded guilty to a felony identity fraud charge.
