$75,000 Winning Lotto Ticket Sold in Palatine, Winner Yet to Come Forward

Check your tickets! Puff N Stuff in Palatine sold a winning Quick Pick for the Monday Lucky Day Lotto drawing!

A Palatine store sold a winning ticket for the Monday Lucky Day Lotto drawing, meaning someone in the area is going to be $75,000 richer! The winner, who has yet to come forward, purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket at Puff N Stuff, 20370 North Rand Road, and matched all five numbers – 06 - 12 - 16 - 34 - 39 – in the May 6 drawing. The store will receive a bonus of $750, 1 percent of the jackpot amount, for selling a winning ticket.  There were two $75,000 winning tickets for the Monday night drawing.  The other ticket was sold at Plaza Liquor Mart, 605 South 10th Street in Mount Vernon.  Jackpots for Lucky Day Lotto start at $100,000. Powerball Hits $500 Million Jackpot

Wednesday’s jackpot could go up higher, lottery officials said.

  Jozefa S. is an Illinois State Lottery winner with a bit of advice on playing the lottery: “You can’t win if you don’t play so go ahead and play.” A lot of people will be plucking down $2 for a Powerball ticket in one of the lottery’s biggest jackpots of the year. The jackpot is now $500 million and may grow larger by Wednesday’s drawing, lottery officials said. “When (the jackpot) is this large, it’s not unusual for the jackpot to go up. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets pumped up again,” said Chanele Newton, a Northstar Lottery Group spokesman. Northstar runs the Illinois State Lottery.   The Mega Millions, multi-state lottery is up to $363 million and the drawing is tonight at 10 p.m. CST. This week, the Illinois Lottery became the first to offer online purchases of lottery tickets, making it easier than ever. The Illinois Lottery saw an explosion of ticket sales since going online Sunday, and Lottery officials expect the fast-paced sales to continue through the Mega Millions drawing, according to the Huffington Post.
