Green flags at two parks mean rinks are ready for ice skaters.
When the Lake Zurich Park and Recreation Department flies green flags, ice skating facilities at Paulus Park, 200 S. Rand Rd. and Manor Park, 5 Miller Rd., are open for use. At Paulus Park, ice skaters can skate on a portion of the lake, which is lighted at night. Hockey is not allowed, but at nearby Manor Park, the outdoor hockey rink is open daily until dusk.
