The average price of gasoline in the Chicago suburbs has dropped by 9 cents in the past week to $3.91 per gallon, the Chicago Tribune reports. The newspaper says moderating crude oil prices are the reason for the drop in price. As of Monday afternoon, the following gas stations have the lowest prices in Lake Zurich, according to GasBuddy.com:

On Monday afternoon, the cheapest gas price in Lake Zurich was $3.89 at the Marathon station 1125 S. Old Rand Road and several other stations according to GasBuddy.com. CNN Money is crediting the price increase to a combination of factors including rising crude oil prices, production cuts and refinery closings.
