Lake Zurich Bears Football to Start Playoffs

First Playoff game is Saturday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m.

The Lake Zurich Quarterback Club has been busy “painting the town” with banners and Bears décor in support of the Lake Zurich High School Bears.  The Bears won their last regular season game against Warren Township, 17-13. See story in the Daily Herald.  That resulted in a share of the North Suburban Conference Lake Division championship with Stevenson. “This is the 11th straight year of playoff appearances for the Bears,” said John Schnecker of the Quarterback Club.  “The town will remain painted for as long as the team is in playoffs. This really brings the community together.” Schecker is expecting a huge turnout for Saturday’s game at LZHS. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Lake Zurich’s ended the year with a 7-2 record.
