This is my favorite Christmas cookie recipe, so I'm sharing it with Lake Zurich Patch readers.
Crust Ingredients: ¼ pound of butter 1 3 oz. cream cheese 1 cup of flour Cream together well and refrigerate for half hour. Form into 24 balls Filling Ingredients: 1 cup of walnuts or pecans ¾ cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 Tablespoon butter Mix together well. Press cream cheese mixture into miniature muffin pan to form cups. Fill with nut mixture; do not overfill. Place in preheated 350-degree oven for 20-25 minutes. After it cools, sprinkle with sifted powdered sugar.
