The Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce networking event was sponsored by Whole Foods and Lake Zurich Travel.
Lake Zurich Chamber of Commerce members sampled 12 different chili recipes cooked up by Lake Zurich's firefighting staff. There was everything from seafood chili to white chili to traditional blends.
LZACC after hours event will be held at Fire Station #1 on Thursday.
Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce members and prospective members will be the judges at the annual Firefighters Chili Cookoff, this Thursday. Fire Marshal and cookoff organizer Guy Trayling said excitement is growing for the event and firefighters’ competitive spirit is rising as they vie for the golden spoon award. Trayling said he expects about 10 competitors. The Chili Cook Off is sponsored by Whole Foods in Palatine and Lake Zurich Travel. The event will be held at Fire House #1, 321 Buesching Road, from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25.
