Family, friends and the Warriors' Watch Guard greeted Barrington native Kuiper upon his return home.
Barrington welcomed home Marcus Kuiper from Afghanistan with a surprise gathering at Wool Street Bar and Grill on Sunday, Sept. 8. Kuiper was greeted by the Warriors' Watch Guard on his way from O'Hare to Barrington, which was organized by his family. The Barrington High School graduate was very surprised as he pulled up to the restaurant to see dozens of people cheering for him and waving the American flag. He just finished an 8-month deployment where he served as a combat videographer. This was his second tour of duty. Watch the emotional video as the community welcomes him home.

Ever wish police would catch the motorist that just ran a red light? Since the red light cameras have been active at Golf and Rand roads, more than 7,700 tickets have been distributed in Des Plaines.
