Criminal Damage Police received a report, May 8, that someone damaged the windshield of a tractor while the tractor was parked in the 1300 block of Conrad Lane. The FBI on Saturday released the name of the man shot during an attempted bank robbery in Richmond on Friday morning, and announced charges against the other two men taken into custody. Tony Starnes, 45, of the 7800 block of S. Marquette Ave., Chicago, was killed at about 11:30 a.m. May 10, during a shootout with FBI officers in the parking lot of Associated Bank, 10910 N. Main St. (Route 12), in Richmond, the Daily Herald reports. Starnes was shot to death by FBI special agents after allegedly ramming a Honda Civic into one of their vehicles, the story said. Inverness Woman Charged in Decades Old Murder Former Inverness resident Jacquelyn Greco, 66, was charged with arranging the murder of her husband in 1979. Greco, of Crystal Falls, Michigan was charged with first degree murder of her husband, Carl Gaimari. Police said Greco was having an affair and planned her husband's death. Police said that Greco had a burglary staged. On April 30, 1979, two men entered the residence and stated they were robbing the home. Police said the two men ordered Greco and the couple's three children – ages 13, 5, and 2 – into a bedroom, tied them up and locked them in a closet. Suspect in bank robbery dead; Rte. 12 closed north of Rte. 173.
Update 2:35 p.m. FBI agents were tailing the suspects because they believed they had committed previous bank robberies and were planning another, the Chicago Tribune is reporting. One suspect is dead and another was taken into custody in the shooting that shook the small town of Richmond this afternoon. Update 1:50 p.m. The McHenry County Sheriff announced that Rte 12 north of Rte. 173 will be closed for several hours due to a police investigation of the shooting. The 2013 Click It or Ticket campaign kicked off Friday in Illinois. The purpose of the campaign is to help save lives by cracking down on those who do not buckle up through the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is joining the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the Illinois State Police (ISP) and over 500 local law enforcement agencies across the state to save more lives by strongly enforcing seat belt laws. “As we kick-off the busy summer driving season it’s important for everyone to buckle up every trip, every time, day or night – no excuses,” said Sheriff Mark C. A 1999 Stevenson High School graduate was found dead after falling from a Near West Side building in Chicago this weekend, WLS-AM reports. Ricardo Tolliver, 31, fell or jumped from an eighth story window of a building on the 100 block of North Hermitage Avenue. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.

Police conduct alcohol sales compliance checks during prom, graduation.
The Lake Zurich Police Department, in conjunction with the Lake County Chiefs of Police Association - Lake County Underage Drinking Prevention Task Force, will be conducting alcohol sales compliance checks during the Lake Zurich High School Prom / Graduation events. Police Department personnel will be observing points of sales for violations of local and state liquor laws. Retailers are urged to check the identification of anyone that is attempting to purchase liquor to insure the purchaser can legally purchase alcoholic liquor. Traffic Arrest (DUI) David S. Sasenick, 38, 3702 Overland Road, Crystal Lake, was arrested on Miller Road at Kimberly Road, May 6. Sasenick was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of open alcohol, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Sasenick was released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of June 17. Kyle J. Mayer, 20, who resides at 16260 W. Pope Blvd in Prairie View, was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 22 at Quentin Road, May 4. Mayer was charged with improper lane usage and driving under the influence of alcohol.
