Mayor’s Special Events Task Force Recruiting Members

Promoting the arts, parks and other community activities are goals of the new initiative.

A Special Events Task Force is being formed with a goal to include Lake Zurich organizations that would help to establish a variety of activities and events for residents. At the Village Board's March 19 meeting, Mayor Suzanne Branding said she is looking to bring in representatives from Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95, the Ela Area Public Library, the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club and other groups in the village. “I’m looking for some basic, win-win special events, and I would like to include community groups who can take an idea and run with it,” Branding said. Christine M. DiVincenzo, 43, of Lake Zurich, died peacefully at home in her sleep on Friday, Feb. 24. Her cherished husband Greg Sebring and adored toddler son Michael Lee will treasure their many memories, including outings to local parks, Lake Geneva, and family trips to Florida. She was a beagle-lover, with two dogs — Bagel and Maddie.   A daughter of the late Michael and Letitia DiVincenzo, Christine leaves behind two sisters Diane Salas and Janet DiVincenzo, and a brother, Chuck DiVincenzo.
