Services have been scheduled for Bruce D. Hillier of Wauconda.

Prayers for Bruce D. Hillier, 58, of Wauconda, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 4 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road. Father David Ryan will officiate. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3rd from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home. Bruce was born April 1, 1954 in Detroit, MI, and he passed away peacefully April 27 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Mayor’s Special Events Task Force Recruiting Members

Promoting the arts, parks and other community activities are goals of the new initiative.

A Special Events Task Force is being formed with a goal to include Lake Zurich organizations that would help to establish a variety of activities and events for residents. At the Village Board's March 19 meeting, Mayor Suzanne Branding said she is looking to bring in representatives from Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95, the Ela Area Public Library, the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club and other groups in the village. “I’m looking for some basic, win-win special events, and I would like to include community groups who can take an idea and run with it,” Branding said. Christine M. DiVincenzo, 43, of Lake Zurich, died peacefully at home in her sleep on Friday, Feb. 24. Her cherished husband Greg Sebring and adored toddler son Michael Lee will treasure their many memories, including outings to local parks, Lake Geneva, and family trips to Florida. She was a beagle-lover, with two dogs — Bagel and Maddie.   A daughter of the late Michael and Letitia DiVincenzo, Christine leaves behind two sisters Diane Salas and Janet DiVincenzo, and a brother, Chuck DiVincenzo. Her five nieces and nephews always knew her as just “Tia.” They are Anthony M. Salas, Andrea M. Salas, Brendon DiVincenzo, Taylor DiVincenzo and Alexis DiVincenzo. Dorothy Elizabeth Allison-Kusisto, 92, of Buffalo Grove, formerly of Northbrook, IL, and Los Altos, California, passed away Feb. 8 in Barrington after a long battle with vascular dementia, aphasia and pneumonia. Her children were at her side. Dorothy was born March 24, 1919, in Detroit, MI, where she was raised. She was the proud daughter of Floyd Cornelius and Irene Viola Allison. A graduate of Alma College, Alma, MI, she majored in economics and religion. A lifelong advocate of education, and she both studied and taught her entire life. A world traveler, Dorothy preferred to be at home with her family and friends.   Dorothy was an athlete who excelled in tennis, bowling, golf and baseball. She loved sports of all kinds.
