While membership in the American Legion Lake Zurich Post #964 is limited to those who have served in the U.S. Armed Services, the Post serves the community in many ways. In addition to sponsoring a Boy Scout troop, scholarships, holding a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny and assisting in the retirement of old flags, the 235-plus-member Post holds bingo night at 7pm every Tuesday, an event that is open to the public. The Post also has auxiliary and Sons of Legion programs. The building is available to be rented out.
