I've been taking my car to Brad Remington and his staff for 16 years. My kids drive in from the city to Remington for their car service needs. They have never exceeded an estimate and often come in under what they told me the cost would be because they actively look for ways to save their customers money. Plus, I can't count how many times they have fixed or replaced items and not charged me a dime. Just this week their ace Honda guy helped me track down a part online and saved me $80. They are exceedingly honest and helpful and knowledgeable and the three of us swear by them.
Car problems can be scary because of the expense. They make my life that much less stressful knowing that whatever my car problem is, the best mechanics will fix it at the lowest price.
Took my car in for squeaking brakes. They replaced them, and it sounded way worse than when I took it in. Took it back, they "fixed" them supposedly, but the brakes now sounded so bad that when I was out driving in Barrington, I was afraid for my and my children's safety in the car. Rather than go back to Remington AGAIN, we took our car to Barrington Motorwerks to get it fixed (which is where we had always gone previously--should have just gotten the brakes put on there in the first place! I have had no problem with the brakes since! We requested Remington return our money since, obviously, they had not given us what we paid for! Remington refused to refund ANY of our money! We learned a hard lesson, a "good" deal usually isn't a "good" deal after all! I would not give them another dime of our business!!!!!!!!
