25 Chicago Restaurants Earn Michelin Stars

Check out the list if you're in need of some inspiration for a special meal.

Twenty-five Chicago restaurants have earned coveted Michelin stars in its latest guide. That’s the most ever awarded in the four years since the start of the Chicago edition.

Lincoln Park’s Alinea is the only three-star restaurant on the list. “A Michelin three star rating is considered the ultimate international recognition in the culinary world with only just over 100 restaurants around the world currently holding this prized distinction,” according to Michelin’s press release announcing the winter.

There are four two-star restaurants: Sixteen in River North and Grace in the West Loop, which are receiving the honor for the first time, and Lincoln Park’s L20 and River North’s Graham Elliot, which earned the same distinction last year.

No suburban restaurants made the list.
