LZ Trustees Voting on Demolition Bid, Policies to Deal with Flooding Events

Board of Trustees meets Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Lake Zurich village hall will be closed for Labor Day so the Board of Trustee’s board meeting is scheduled of Tuesday and trustees have a packed agenda.

Trustees will vote on a bid to demolish several downtown buildings in Lake Zurich’s ongoing efforts to revitalize the downtown. The board will vote on a $115,800 bid by Langos Corporation.

A review of policies to deal with future flooding events is up for discussion at the meeting. The village reviewed its response to the June 26 flooding and will make some policy changes to response to flooding.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at village hall, 70 E. Main St.  Meetings are also live streamed on Lake Zurich’s website.
