Couture 360 Hosts Fundraising Fashion Show

La TeaDa Fashion and Trunk Show features nationally-known designers; benefits local cause.

 

 

is giving back in style with the LaTeaDa, Fashion & Trunk Show which will be held at Wynstone Golf Club in North Barrington on June 24 from 12-4 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit , a Lake Zurich charity which serves dinners to needy people every week and provides food, clothing and funding for shelter to families in need, helping them move from crisis to stability. 

"I am a strong believer in community and giving back," said Rose DePaola, owner of Couture 360. "It is a terrific cause; those selfless people donate their time every Sunday. I believe you have to give to get. We choose a charity every year for our large event."

This year's event will feature two fashion designers: Barbara Bates from NBC’s “Fashion Star” and Timothy Westbrook, Artist-in-Residence at The Pfister Hotel.

“We’re creating an event that’s truly exciting and that will make you feel good about yourself,” DePaola said.

Barbara Bates, fashion designer and owner of Barbara Bates Designs in Chicago, will be providing fashions created specifically for the day’s event. “What I love about Barbara is that she believes beauty comes in all sizes,” said DePaola in a news release. Bates, recently seen on NBC’s "Fashion Star," has dressed some of the world’s most fabulous fashionistas including Michael Jordon, Oprah Winfrey and Whitney Houston. 


Timothy Westbrook, fiber artist and fashion designer, will be showcasing his work at the event. Westbrook, currently serving as Artist-in-Residence at The Pfister Hotel, incorporates repurposed materials and his own hand-woven fabrics into his fashion designs. “We are so excited that Timothy will be sharing his unique designs at our fashion show,” said DePaola.

 

DePaola  said 11 area businesses have joined Couture 360 to help plan and produce the show. These event sponsors will also be on hand to share their event planning expertise with attendees. Guests will enjoy exciting raffles and receive swag bags valued at more than $250. There wlll also be a raffle for a $10,000 production party.

 

DePaola said the event is about 90 percent full and organizers had to expand into another room at Wynstone.
