Get Out for Palatine Hometown Fest and Other Celebrations

Looking for something to do this weekend? There are plenty of area festivals, not far from Lake Zurich.

 

 

The festival is held at Community Park on Palatine Road and Northwest Highway in Palatine.

 

Barrington’s Brat Tent returns to the North Commuter Lot of the Barrington Metra Train Station this Friday. Along with food and live music, this year’s Brat Tent has plenty to entertain attendees of all ages.

Fridays in the Park, Hawthorn Woods, June 29

Farmers Market  from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (now featuring Harms Farm). Concert in Community Park, 42 Park View Lane, 6:30 p.m. with Dupage Band.

Held every Friday evening this fall and winter and in time for local holiday shopping, participating businesses will extend their hours until 7pm to accommodate those wanting to stroll through town, shop after work and then grab something to eat and drink.

 

Crystal Lake's Fourth of July celebration opens Thursday, June 28, and runs through Sunday, July 1. The volunteer-run festival provides plenty of food, rides, entertainment and special activities for the community.

 

The fifth annual Art on the Fox will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 30, and Sunday, July 1, in Riverfront Park, 101 N. Harrison Road, according to the village of Algonquin press release. The event is free and open to the public. Artists will perform demonstrations and have artwork for sale in a variety of media, including painting, photography, jewelry, glass, drawing, sculpture, and stone.
