Lake Zurich is getting in on the 2012 cruise night festivities, with the launch of their new event, held in the Culver’s and Kohls parking lot, at 645 North Rand Road. The cruise is put on by Fuzzy Dice Productions and runs every Tuesday night from now until late fall. It starts at 6pm and is over at 9pm. This past week boasted an attendance of over 45 cars and numerous owners and spectators.

We stopped by and chatted with PJ Zizich, of Fuzzy Dice Productions for a few details.

“I, along with a couple other people, started the original Lake Zurich cruise night in 2010, not far from our current location. It was a great spot but the overall feeling was we needed to find a spot with onsite food.

“That’s when we started scouring the area. Culver’s and Kohl’s offered their parking lots and that’s where we landed. Our goal is  to entice more people into the unique Lake Zurich area and support the numerous small businesses located here. The community is a hidden gem in the Chicagoland area and we want to raise awareness and bring more visitors to experience it.

With this new location, we’ve got great food and great shopping just a short walk away – for those significant others who may not like cars as much as you do. We’re very pleased with how it all turned out and are looking forward to the summer season ahead.”

Coming up are some special themed nights, with June being a ‘decades month’. Each Tuesday will feature cars of a certain decade – starting with the ‘50s followed by the ’60s, ‘70s and ‘80s for the four nights that month.
