Another Success Story

I love success. How wellthy are you?

Those of you who read this blog know that I love success stories!  Over the last 29 years, I have had the pleasure of working with many successful patients.  Since developing the “Wellthy” lifestyle and publishing “Diets and Other Unnatural Acts,” I have witnessed a phenomenal increase in the “Wellth” of my patients.

Yes, I view success not in financial wealth, but in the overall “Wellth” of my patients, i.e. physical, emotional, nutritional, spiritual, and financial wellbeing.  On a daily basis, I see lives changing for the better, and I smile.  My latest success story is a high school senior who has “turned on” to nutrition and exercise and decided to make it into her profession.

Over the last year, my young student has changed her life in many ways, growing “Wellthy.”  What’s of particular interest is the change in her lung function test.  She has asthma and allergies and routinely comes in this time of the year for refills and her annual spirometry.  Last year, her spirometry was consistent with asthma, showing an obstructive pattern.  This year, it was completely normal!  Since this is shaping up to be a bad allergy season, I can only attribute the change in her lung function to her exercise and improved diet.  What a marvelous gift her new lifestyle has bestowed on her.

Yes, a healthy diet and exercise can pay off in ways you never expected.  Take a lesson from my young student.  Accept who you are openly.  Define what your faults are and then work on polishing yourself into a better you.  You can “Chicken step” your way to good health and personal “Wellth.”  Getting healthy should not be hard!  Getting healthy is not an overnight process.  It is a lifelong project that will pay huge dividends.  Invest more in yourself than you do in your bank account and you will be truly rich.

Don’t forget to share your “Wellth” with family and friends.  Remember, the life you save may be your own or a loved one’s.  www.livewellthy.org
