The Lake Zurich girls tennis team placed third this past weekend at its sectional at Lake Park, according to the Illinois High School Association website.
There was a three-way tie for third place with Lake Zurich, Elk Grove Village and Rolling Meadows each scoring a total of 14 points. Barrington High School won the sectional with 28 points followed by Fremd High School in second with 17 points.
The state final tournament will be held Oct. 24 through 26 at Buffalo Grove High School.
