The Lake Zurich High School boys’ lacrosse team is getting its own parade to celebrate winning the 2013 Lacrosse Cup State Championship.
The team beat out Naperville Central, winning its first lacrosse cup in its 11-year history.
A parade and assembly honoring the team will be held Sunday, June 9 at the Lake Zurich High School campus, 300 Church St. The public is invited to come out and show their support for the champs.
A timeline of the event follows:
11:30 to 11:45 a.m. The team will march from the May Whitney Elementary School to the Lake Zurich High School Field House, escorted by the Lake Zurich Fire and Police departments.
Noon to 12:30 p.m. An assembly will be held recognizing the team.
12:30 to 1 p.m. Meet the lacrosse players. The team members are, according to http://www.lzlacrosse.com:
