IGLA (Lake Zurich Lacrosse Club) Youth Girls Lacrosse Parents Meeting

Welcome to the upcoming IGLA Spring Girls Lacrosse season.  Our parent meeting will be held on Tuesday April 3 from 7pm-9pm in the cafeteria of Lake Zurich High School.  This will be a very informative session where we discuss the coming 2012 Spring Season in Lake Zurich. 

Topics of Discussion include:

• Specific goals of the IGLA (Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association)
• Introduction of the coaches (parent and high school players).  Note, we are looking for one additional 3/4th grade parent volunteer coach to be paired with our very experienced 3/4 grade parent coach (and two high school girls lax players).
• Basic skills to be taught
• Rules of the game 
• Practice dates/times
• Sunday games
• Free pre-season clinic which is open to all IGLA participants (April 21 at Ron Beese Park in Barrington).  Must have submitted final payment to attend this clinic.
• Parent Volunteer Opportunities
• Lake Zurich Lacrosse Club website (which is our key weather information resource)
• Question and Answer period
• Equipment (girls need a mouth guard, goggles and stick).  These can be purchased at Dicks and Sportmart.  Information on lax packages is usually available on the IGLA website (www.iglax.com).

As the IGLA Director for the Lake Zurich Program, I am always available to answer any questions you might have about the program.  I am including my contact information below.  I firmly believe that the Lake Zurich IGLA group is one of the best IGLA has to offer.  We have great parent coaching with excellent assistance from key members of the Lake Zurich High School Girls Lacrosse team.  

I will personally be at most practices and games.  I will have a shirt or jacket on for game days which will say Director on the back.  Feel free to come up to me to discuss our program which I have been a part of for four years now.
