Ewing Sarcoma is a rare disease in which cancer cells are found in the bone or soft tissue. Ever since I met Ricky, I’ve been searching long and hard for ways to help him. I’m writing to ask you for your support of an event I’m organizing to raise funds for this extraordinary boy Ricky.

On December 27, 2011, Ricky was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma at a very young age. Now at the age of five, he is dealt with aggressive chemo treatments and the removal of the tumor. A rotation plasty was performed on Ricky’s leg causing him to lose part of his leg. He has been in a cast for several weeks and has started to fitted for his prosthetic leg.

His mother said that before December 27th, 2011, they led a normal, ordinary life  walking through with three sets of footprints (a big set, a medium set and a little set). Once Ricky was diagnosed, there is an army of footprints with them. So lets keep the footprints going and support Dave, Sue and Ricky!!

At our fundraiser event at Sideouts in Island Lake, we hope to raise funds to support Ricky and his family. We will be auctioning an official football signed by Chicago Bear #54 Brian Urlacher, two 2012-2013 tickets to a Chicago Blackhawks game, an autographed Chicago Blackhawks Sami Lepisto picture, autographed Chicago Blackhawks Steve Montador puck and hopefully much more!

On behalf of Ricky, his family and all of Team Ricky, we thank you for your support!!
