"Trees...Our Treasures"

Help us celebrate Arbor Day/Earth Day at this fun and informative morning. Individuals, families or Scout groups can sign up to help with cleanup of any of our 32 parks. To volunteer for a park clean up, call Bonnie Matheson at 847-438-5798 by April 9. At 12 noon a barbeque will be provided for all clean up participants.

After the clean up meet at Paulus Park for an Arbor Day celebration which will include a tree planting by our Village Arborist and members of the LZ Tree Commission. Learn about invasives from the Oak Ridge Marsh Conservation Group. See our demonstration rain garden and learn how to construct your own. Local tree care and landscapers will be on hand to answer your questions.

Kids will enjoy nature crafts, tree identification contest and much more.
