Ela Soccer Purchasing Land for Soccer Complex

The Ela Soccer Club is under contract to purchase 10 acres of land to develope a soccer field complex.

"With over 1,200 participants and continuing to grow, we are always looking for opportunities for additional field spaces," said Doug Anderson, Ela Soccer president in a release. "Being a non profit organization, finding land that is both affordable and fits our needs has been the first challenge.”

The land is located north of Lake Zurich in unincorporated Lake County. Ela Soccer Club wants to developer three soccer field areas on the property.

Now, Ela Soccer Club faces a second challenge as it gears up to go through the approval processes with Lake County and the Village of Hawthorn Woods, Anderson said.

“We are hopeful for a quick and inexpensive approval process," he said.

The approvals from the governmental bodies are not guaranteed, however, this property is prime for outdoor recreational use.
