A 49-0 shutout on Saturday has advanced the Lake Zurich Bears to the next round of the IHSA football playoffs.

The Bears' home field victory against Crystal Lake South was led by running back Connor Schrader who tied the Lake Zurich school record for touchdowns on Saturday.

Schrader’s five touchdowns tied the record set by Zach Till in last year’s playoffs.

He had four touchdowns in the first half, with the fifth in the third quarter.

This is the 20th win for Lake Zurich in the playoffs since 2006, according to the Daily Herald.

"It's awesome and I'm flattered, but it's all about the team," Schrader told the Chicago Tribune.

Lake Zurich heads to Rockton on Saturday for a 2 p.m. game.

Tickets for the game will be sold in the Lake Zurich HS Athletic office Tuesday-Thursday, from 8 a.m to noon, and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost of the tickets is $5.  Tickets will also be sold at the gates on Saturday.

There will be a fan bus available to go to the game.  Come to the Lake Zurich Athletic office to sign up for the bus from Tuesday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-noon and 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.  The cost of the fan bus is $10.
