Middle School South Students to Perform in Honors Music Festival

Seventeen students will represent Lake Zurich Middle School South at IMEA Junior Honors Festival, Saturday, Nov. 3 at Wauconda High School.

Congratulations to the following 17 Lake Zurich Middle School-South music students for being accepted into the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) District 7 Junior Honors Band & Honors Orchestra.

Over 700 students auditioned for the IMEA junior band and orchestra from middle schools in Lake, Cook, and McHenry Counties. Students were selected based on their preparation of the audition music. Students will be performing in the IMEA Junior Honors Festival on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Wauconda High School.

LZMS-South had 38 students audition for the music festival. Auditions were held on September 29 for band and October 10 for orchestra. All the students who auditioned should be commended on their hard work preparing for the auditions.
