May Whitney Elementary Awarded Tech Donation

The school received $25,000 to purchase the latest technology for classroom use.

is proud to receive a $25,000 technology donation presented by Intel and Best Buy in Kildeer as part of a nationwide training challenge hosted by the Intel Retail Edge Program.

The Intel Retail Edge Program is a thriving community of retail sales professionals who truly understand how technology can change everything. The program was designed to provide the latest information and education about Intel products to sales representatives through interactive courses, articles, videos, sales tools, real-time Web events and more.

As part of the recent Intel Retail Edge Program challenge, local Best Buy sales representatives were challenged to expand their knowledge about Intel technology and the devices they sell. As part of the reward for completing the most training sessions, the Best Buy team was able to award a local school
with a technology donation. The Intel Retail Edge Program awarded 24 stores in the U.S. and Canada by giving up to $200,000 to local schools.

May Whitney Elementary School was selected to receive the technology donation from Intel to purchase the latest technology for use in the classroom to assist students in their studies and improve the overall learning environment.

“Congratulations to the winning retail team members for their achievements and their commitment to the community,” said Jeff Clark, manager of the Intel Retail Edge Program. “With technology, amazing things can happen. We look forward to seeing what the awarded teachers and students will achieve with the latest technology at their fingertips.”
