Lake Zurich Third in Cross Country Meet
Lake Zurich High School placed second in a Lake County cross country invite this week, with one of the school's runners taking fourth place.
Vernon Hills High School's Vivian Overbeck won the Lake County Girl Cross Country Art Campbell Invitethis week, the Daily Herald Reports. With a time of 19:09.9, she beat Lakes High School's Kortney Schardt, who had a time of 19:10.0.
The other top-five finishers were Lake Forest's Claire Yandell with 19:24.4, Lake Zurich's Meaghan Gelinas with 19:25.6, and Stevenson's Jessica Phillipp with 19:28.3. Grayslake Central's Korina Gomez at 19:32.6 was sixth and Vernon Hills' Cassie Lira at 19:37.4 was seventh.
Libertyville won the meet, followed by Vernon Hills second and Lake Zurich third.
