Lake Zurich Bears Game Moved to Glenbard South for Saturday

It’s on to the IHSA 7A semifinals for Lake Zurich Bears. The Bears will play the undefeated Glenbard West, but the game will be at Glenbard South High School, 23W200 Butterfield Rd, Glen Ellyn. The change in venue is apparently due to the muddy field at Glenbard West.

Saturday’s game is scheduled to be played at 1 p.m. Gates open at 11:15 a.m. and tickets are $6.
Glenbard West beat Wheaton North 3-0 last Saturday at Glenbard West’s muddy home field (see photo).

Last season LZHS upset Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn in the 2nd round of the IHSA playoffs. Back in 2009 Glenbard West defeated LZHS (at LZHS) in the IHSA Semifinal Game in the last 6-seconds of the game, according to the Quarterback Club’s John Schnecker.
