What do young children need to be their healthiest, happiest, and most successful in the future? Should you teach your preschooler his letters to make sure he is ready for grade school? Can giving children time in nature, ample opportunity to play together, and lots of time and space for active and imaginative play really give them an advantage as they grow up? Early childhood educator Jone Hellesoy taught at Chicago Waldorf School for many years and is now the owner of City Garden Early Childhood Center in the Pilsen neighborhood.
