Understanding our Struggling Kids & Achieving Success

Presented by Dr. Jeremy Fritz, this lecture is for parents of and professionals working with children between the ages of 4-18 that are struggling with academic, behavior, emotional or sensory issues in school or at home.  Gain a comprehensive understanding and deeper insight into the issues and challenges that these children are facing.  Dr. Fritz will explain Functional Disconnection Syndrome (FDS) and why that might be what is affecting your son or daughter.  FDS is a functional imbalance of brain activity within each side and/or between the right and left sides of the brain.  Learn brain based strategies that improve behavioral outcomes at home and at school.

Dr. Fritz will discuss the following topics:

  • The latest neurological and learning disorder research
  • Why are kids being diagnosed with these disorders in epidemic proportions?
  • Why are more parents saying, "there's something going on with my child, but no one can tell me what or why."
  • What has been working with these kids and what hasn't been working and why?
  • What is Functional Disconnection Syndrome?  How does it explain the rapid rate that these disorders are affecting our children?
  • How does the Brain Balance Program work?
  • What kind of results do we see?
  • How much improvement can I expect in my child and/or student or patient?
  • Will this improve how they do in school?  At home?

Dr. Jeremy Fritz is the Executive Director of the Brain Balance Achievement Center of Vernon Hills, IL.  This is one center of 50 that are quickly opening across the country that works with children affected by the Neurobehavioral/Developmental Disorders such as ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Tourette’s Syndrome, PDD, Autism, Processing Disorders, and Learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia.  This rapid expansion is due to the great improvements the children are seeing on a daily basis.   Dr. Fritz will explain in more detail how at this lecture.

The Brain Balance Program works from a brain based model which recognizes that many of the children that are diagnosed with these disorders suffer a foundational imbalance or under-connectivity of electrical (brain) activity. This imbalance or under-connectivity occurs within and between the two halves (hemispheres) and/or large networks of the brain. We now understand that it is this imbalance of function, also known as functional disconnection syndrome, within and between the two halves of the brain which is often responsible for many if not all of the physical, cognitive or mental, and/or behavioral difficulties related to these disorders.

The Brain Balance Program first identifies these underdeveloped areas of the brain through a 1,223 point assessment of a child.  Once the areas of need are identified and the child has been accepted into the program, a comprehensive individualized drug-free program is developed just for that child taking into account sensory skills, motor skills, and neuro-academic abilities combined with proper nutrition.

Seating is limited.  RSVP by registering above.
