5K/Fun Run to Benefit D95 Educational Foundation

Fundraising run to be held Sept. 30 in Hawthorn Woods.

The District 95 Educational Foundation is sponsoring its second annual 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Sunday, Sept. 30, at Heritage Oaks Park in Hawthorn Woods.

Nancy Coleman, executive director of the Foundation, said the event started last year as a wellness event for the teachers, staff, students and parents.

"We are hoping participation will grow this year, and the event can become profitable," Coleman said.
