Barrington, IL- Calling all moms ready to shed those extra pregnancy pounds! The Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital offers a postnatal class that will jump-start your healthy routine: Yoga After Baby incorporates gentle yoga techniques to strengthen and restore your mind and body.
Those first few weeks after you give birth can be overwhelming. It’s important that you schedule time to yourself to relax and recover, both for your sake and your baby’s! Yoga exercises can help tone your abdominals, align your hips, and improve your balance. This low intensity workout will stretch your body and tone long lean muscles. You will most likely feel energized and happier with increased strength and stability, but most importantly you will feel confident in yourself as a mother.
Classes are held on Thursdays, October 4, 11, and 18 from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, 450 W. Highway 22, Barrington, Illinois 60010.
