Village Board Meeting, 'Bare Voices' Concert This Week

What's coming up this week?

Here's a look at some events coming up this week:

  • The Lake Zurich Village Board will hold its second regular meeting of the month at 7 p.m. Feb. 21. Items on the agenda include: a courtesy review for a proposed planned unit development at Quentin Road and Route 22 that includes Mariano's Fresh Market; and the hiring of an engineering firm for the Pine Avenue water main replacement project.
  • The Lake Zurich Plan Commission will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 to consider a zoning text amendment to allow for "boarding, day care and massage therapy for pets," along with a special use permit, at 805 W. Route 22 for OakView Pet Resort. The meeting will include discussion regarding a possible special use permit for massage therapy services at 890 S. Rand Road.
  • The Ela Area Public Library will host representatives from the College of Lake County, who will answer questions for individuals interested in signing up for classes. Registration is not required for this event, which will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 22.
  • The Ela Area Public Library will be closed on Feb. 24 for staff training. The library will reopen at 9 a.m. Feb. 25. For more information, visit the library website.
