Village Administrator Submits Resignation

Bob Vitas' resignation will be effective Dec. 31.

Village Administrator Bob Vitas has submitted his resignation to Village President Suzanne Branding.

Vitas, who has completed his contractual obligations with the village, submitted his resignation Nov. 11. He will be moving on with his career to pursue other alternatives.

"It has been my great pleasure and honor to work for the people of the , and to work with your honor and the board of trustees. I am especially grateful for having the privilege of leading a truly capable, outstanding and dedicated employee workforce,” Vitas said in a village-issued press release.

"Bob's a good guy," said Trustee Rich Sustich. "He's very talented."

Sustich added that Vitas' departure is "a very amicable situation. We wish Bob the best."

Vitas' resignation will be effective at the close of business Dec. 31. Vitas said that for the rest of his tenure, he plans to work with Branding and the Village Board “on a smooth transition, including anything I can do to help with your search for a new village administrator.”

"The village president and the village board thank Vitas for his contributions over his four-year tenure as village administrator and wish him much success in the future," the press release stated.
