Twelve Groups Seek $58,183 in Grants From Ela Township
Requests are up from $28,000 last year.
Twelve groups that serve area residents submitted grant requests of $58,183 to the Ela Township Board at its Jan. 13 meeting. Last year, only $28,000 in grant requests were received.
Ela Township annually receives grant applications from organizations within its boundaries. Approval of the amounts of each grant to be awarded will likely be made in April after township officials know the amount of tax dollars Ela Township receives, explained Lucy Prouty, Ela Township supervisor.
