Presidential Hopeful Newt Gingrich to Make Barrington Appearance

Gingrich will make several stops in the Barrington area this week as part of his Illinois tour.

On Wednesday, March 14, Gingrich will hold a rally at 3 p.m. at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. After the rally, he will travel by police motorcade to where a reception will be held with Gingrich and his wife, Callista Gingrich at 5 p.m. A fundraising event will immediately follow. There is a $500 per person minimum contribution. Those interested in attending should contact Ashley Fischer, afischer@newt.org, (615) 642-0702.

On Thursday, March 15, Gingrich will make an appearance at to speak with students, parents and community members from 9 to 10 a.m. Callista Gingrich will read to students at from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Northwest Suburban Republican 2012 Lincoln Day Dinner at The Cotillion, 360 South Creekside Drive, Palatine. 
  • Reception starts at 6 p.m. with a dinner following at 7 p.m. The cost is $100 per person. 
  • Platinum Sponsor seating: $1,500 for table of 10 with preferred seating and special recognition.  
  • Silver Sponsor seating: $1,000 for table of 10 with special recognition.

Thursday, March 15:

  • Callista Gingrich will read to the students at Goddard School in Lake In The Hills at 9 a.m. 
  • Judson University will host a public Town Hall Meeting featuring Newt Gingrich at Herrick Chapel, 1151 N. State St., Elgin at 10 a.m. This event is free and open to the public.
