New Playground Planned at Paulus Park, Community can Vote on Design

Park and Recreation board seeks community input at November 2 special meeting.

Paulus Park’s playground needs to be replaced and the community can vote on one of six themed designs at a special meeting.

The Lake Zurich Park and Recreation Advisory Board is holding the special meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 2 at the Paulus Park Barn, 200 South Rand Road.

Lake Zurich’s risk management company recommended the playground equipment be replaced due to its age, deterioration and increased repair costs, the village said in a press release.

Six playground designers have provided drawings of themed equipment that will be available at the meeting. The community can then vote on which one should be placed at Paulus Park.

The advisory board will share the chosen design at its November 12 meeting.
