Local Officials, Trained Spotters Report Storm Damage

The National Weather Service issued its latest Local Storm Report.

Public officials and trained severe weather spotters reported damage around the region. Here's a look at the latest Local Storm Report from the National Weather Service office in Chicago:

  • Fox Lake: Numerous tree limbs up to 8 inches in diameter are down.
  • Green Oaks: A semi truck was blown over on I-94 at Route 176.
  • Gurnee: Large branches fell off of trees and winds were estimated at 60 miles per hour.
  • Lake Zurich: Branches 6 to 8 inches in diameter down at Miller Road and Route 12.
  • Libertyville: Wind gusts of 60 and 70 miles per hour were measured by trained spotters.
  • Lindenhurst: Utility poles were snapped off.
  • Long Grove: Trees of 2 feet in diameter were snapped off, and utility poles fell down at Checker and Schaefer.
  • Mundelein: Many trees up to 4 inches in diameter are down. Some large trees blocked roads.
  • Round Lake: A tree 8 inches in diameter was snapped off at Route 60 and Peterson Road.
  • Wadsworth: 15-foot-long branches are down near Wadsworth and Delany Roads.
  • Waukegan Harbor: A wind gust of 47 miles per hour was measured.
