Kildeer Mayor, Hawthorn Woods Attorney Apply for Lake County Judge Vacancy

Local attorneys among 19 who filed applications for associate judge vacancy created by George Bridges appointment to circuit judge.

Chief Judge Fred Foreman received official word from the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts that nineteen attorneys have timely filed their applications for the associate judge vacancy created by the appointment of George Bridges to circuit judge by the Illinois Supreme Court effective July 12, 2012.

 

The applicants will be interviewed by the Circuit Judges and they will be evaluated by the Lake County Bar Association.  Public comment by letter is invited on or before August 15, 2012 addressed to:  Chief Judge Fred Foreman, Lake County Courthouse, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, IL 60085-4359.  After the review process is completed, the nominating committee consisting of circuit judges will select the names of two candidates to be placed on a ballot.  Said ballots will be returned to and tallied by the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts in Springfield.

The applicants are sole practitioners Edward C. Abderholden of Antioch; Nandia P. Black of Kildeer; Martin A. Blumenthal of Highland Park; David A. DeRose of Lake Villa; Pamela J. Kuzniar of Deerfield; and Elizabeth M. Rochford of Lake Forest.

Other applicants include Christen L. Bishop of Lake Forest, an assistant state’s attorney and chief of juvenile and special investigations; Hugo M. Chaviano of North Barrington, partner in the firm of Sanchez, Daniels & Hoffman, LLP; Janelle K. Christensen of Lindenhurst, an assistant state’s attorney in the civil division; Walter Diambri of Libertyville, partner in the firm of Diambri & Vicari, P.C.; Ari P. Fisz of Deerfield, an assistant state’s attorney; Joann M. Fratianni-Atsaves of Lake Forest, arbitrator and former commissioner of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission; David C. Lombardo of Vernon Hills, partner in the Law Office D. Christopher Lombardo; Elliot A. Pinsel of Libertyville, partner in the firm of Daniels, Long and Pinsel; Joseph V. Salvi of Hawthorn Woods, partner in the firm of Salvi, Salvi & Wifler, P.C.; James L. Simon of Deerfield, of counsel in the firm of Lakelaw; Perry S. Smith, Jr. of Libertyville, partner in the firm of Wysocki & Smith; Mary E. Stanton of Grayslake, an assistant state’s attorney and chief of cyber crimes division; and Robert S.
