Report: Former Public Works Director Investigated for Misusing Village Property

An investigation by the village of Lake Zurich claims David Heyden misused village property, the Chicago Tribune reports.

It appears former Lake Zurich Public Works Director David Heyden was forced to resign from his position earlier this year amid allegations that he misused village resources, the Chicago Tribune reports.

According to the newspaper, Heyden agreed to resign from his position in February after a village investigation revealed personal use of village equipment, unreported damage to village property and the use of village equipment for personal benefit. Heyden’s attorney said he did not nothing wrong, the Tribune reports. Mike Brown took over Heyden’s role at the end of February.
