Truck Tractor Stolen, Robbery, Marijuana Arrests: Lake Zurich Police Blotter

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

 

Theft of Vehicle

Police received a report that a white 2004 International Truck Tractor was taken from a loading dock in the 500 block of Enterprise Parkway on March 9, 2013 between 5:30 and 7 p.m.   The truck tractor has a reported value of $10,000-$15,000.  Suspect information was provided and the matter is under investigation.  

Traffic Arrest (Suspended)

Eleanor L. McCann, 31, 193 East Grand Avenue Fox Lake, was arrested for driving while license suspended during a traffic stop for improper lane usage in the 700 block of West Highway 22, March 9.  McCann was charged with improper lane usage, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  McCann was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of May 3.

Order of Protection Violation                                         

Brandon B. McCullar, 25, 201 South Buesching Road #128 Lake Zurich,  was arrested at 201 S. Buesching Road for violating an order of protection, March 9.  The complainant reported that McCullar violated the order of protection by shouting at her in the parking area of 201 South Buesching Road.  McCullar was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection. 

Possession of Cannabis / Paraphernalia          

David J. Anger, 19, 25746 North Kyle Court Hawthorn Woods, ; Michael R.M. Pletz, 21, 6 Prospect Road Lake Zurich; and Justin T. Frost, 18, 5308 Orchard Drive McHenry, were arrested pursuant to a suspicious vehicle investigation in the 100 block of Tyler Court, at 11:07 p.m., March 9.  Pletz’s vehicle smelled like burnt cannabis.  Anger and Pletz were both charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Frost was charged with possession of cannabis.  Anger, Pletz and Frost were each released on $1,500 personal recognizance bonds with a Waukegan court date of April 8.

 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia                                 

Anastasia Shumlyanskaya, 18, 184 Tyler Court Lake Zurich, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Tyler Court, March 10, at 1:25 a.m..  Officers were on Tyler Court investigating a suspicious vehicle.  Shumlyanskaya was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.  Shumlyanskaya was released on a $1,500.00 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of April 8  

Robbery                                            

Police took a report that unknown subjects repeatedly punched a man’s face with their fists after he refused to give them cigarettes while outside a business in the 600 block of South Rand Road, at 12:15 a.m., March 10.  The offenders are described as two male whites.  The subjects took the cigarettes and departed.  This matter is under investigation.
