Trial Date Set for Man Charged with Drunken Driving in Hainesville Town Home Crash, Fire

A trial date has been set for a 32-year-old Kenosha, Wis., man who is accused of driving drunk and crashing his SUV into a townhouse in Hainesville, which then started on fire, according to the Daily Herald. 

The crash occurred in the 400 block of Patriot Drive at 4 a.m. on Oct. 25 at the town home of Eric and Lieka Racho. Lieka was able to safely get out of the home with the couple's three young children before their vehicle, home and all of their belongings became "engulfed by flames," according to a YouCaring.com page. 

Adam R. Bileck of Kenosha was arrested in connection with the accident and could face up to six years in prison if found guilty of aggravated driving under the influence, according to the Daily Herald. A court date has been set for Feb. 24 and Bileck remains in custody on a $250,000 bail. 

He is accused of driving into the town home after he had been traveling south on Hainesville Road, veering into the northbound lanes, striking a sign and then traveling 500 feet before hitting the town home and breaking a gas line, according to ABC 7 Chicago.  

The Racho family did not have insurance and a fund-raiser was set up to help support them. Just days after the fire, over $10,000 was raised. The fund-raiser closed a month ago with nearly $25,000 raised for the family.
