Search Continues for Hit-and-Run Driver Responsible for Teen's Death

Banners will be posted at this year's Lake Zurich Alpine Fest to raise awareness about Gabby Drozdz's death two years ago.

Police are still searching for the driver who killed Lake Zurich teenager Gabriella Drozdz in a hit-and-run crash two years ago, the Daily Herald reports.

On July 22, 2011 Drozdz two friends were walking on the shoulder of the 100 block of Church Street when a van crashed into them and sped away. Drozdz died from her injuries. Police have been searching for a light-colored GMC Safari or Chevrolet Astro van in connection with the incident.

At this year’s Alpine Fest, police will have two banners posted on Church Street, reminding people of the unsolved crime. One banner will read that there is a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the driver, the newspaper reports.
